How to make a refund

You can refund a payment directly from the ChargeStripe app, for all non-disputed transactions.

By default, the refunds are processed in full value, unless you specify a different value that is smaller than the total. Here's how to perform a full or partial refund using the ChargeStripe app.


  1. From the Menu select "Previous Transactions".
Go to Previous Transactions
  1. Then tap on the transaction you'd like to refund, and press the 'Refund' button.
Select the transaction and press Refund
  1. Enter the value you'd want to refund. For a full refund enter the total transaction value, and for a partial refund, enter the value you'd like to refund.
Enter the value to be refunded
  1. Press the 'Refund' button to complete the refund.

Please note that the refunded amount may take up to 5 to 10 business days to reflect back to your customer's bank account.
