How do I get my payouts?
Payouts are how transactions through your Stripe account gets deposited into your bank account. One of the first questions people have when they start using ChargeStripe is how to get payouts once you’ve accepted your first payment with the app.
The payout process is managed by Stripe alone and ChargeStripe can only view the status of the payout that is in transit to your bank account.
It is important to note that ChargeStripe cannot fastrack the payout process, or help the bank to receive the money faster.
Getting your first payout happens automatically, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind:
- Your first payout will take 7-10 days to process and transfer to your bank account.
We recommend making a small payment to yourself to get started as quickly as possible.
- After the first waiting period, payouts are deposited according to the payout schedule set on your Stripe dashboard.
- Payouts also depend on your business location, and the delay allows Stripe to mitigate risks thereby making the waiting period necessary. Kindly note that the waiting duration cannot be waived.
Your payout schedule and estimated payout timing can be modified on your Stripe Dashboard.
You can view the status of your recent payout on the 'Balance' menu screen on the ChargeStripe app.
The option to facilitate payouts immediately or instantly to your bank account also exists with Stripe. Such payouts are termed as 'Instant Payouts'. For more information, eligibility, and availability of these, you can read this article here.
